Cost/Estimate of Services
Insurance & Out-of-Network Information
Scenic Route Wellness accepts most major insurance plans. Self-pay rates are also available, if we are out-of-network with your health care plan. If services are not covered by insurance, or you choose to self-pay, you will receive a superbill which you may be able to submit for reimbursement with your health care plan.
Insurance:
If your health care plan is accepted at our office, please make sure to keep an updated copy of your information on file. This will alleviate any delay in services or unnecessary costs you could incur if your information is filed incorrectly.

Superbill:
If your health care plan provides reimbursement for out-of-network therapy services, you will receive a superbill to submit to your insurance company. Please keep these documents for your records.

Payment:
All major credit cards, including HSA cards, are accepted. A HIPAA compliant payment application is used to process payments which you will setup at the time of completing your intake paperwork.
The No Surprises Act & Good Faith Estimate
The No Surprises Act is a federal law that went into effect January 1, 2022. Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, healthcare providers, including mental health practitioners, must provide a good faith estimate of expected charges for services to individuals who are not enrolled in a health care plan or are not seeking to file a claim with their insurance plan/coverage.
If you do not have health insurance, or you choose to self-pay for your care, you have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” reflecting an estimate of expected charges for non-emergency health services, including mental health care appointments. If you would like a Good Faith Estimate, please let us know.
If you are billed at least $400 USD more than your Good Faith Estimate, you have the right to dispute the bill. Make sure to keep a copy or take a picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information, please visit: https://www.cms.gov/medical-bill-rights.
Therapy Investment
Mental health services are individualized and based on each person’s needs. The duration and frequency of appointments can vary, and you are included in the decision-making process when establishing your appointments. The following fee schedule outlines the current out-of-pocket costs for services/appointments:
Intake/Initial Appointment: $175
The Intake Appointment is for all new clients, and it is the first or initial appointment you will have for therapy. During this appointment, important information will be discussed regarding developmental history, presenting concerns, and target goals/outcomes for therapy. Brittany will also discuss the frequency of follow-up appointments as well as important policies and procedures. Prior to this appointment, you will receive Intake Forms to complete via your client portal. These forms must be completed before your initial intake appointment can take place.
Therapy Follow-up Appointments: $150
Follow-up Appointments are regular ongoing/reoccurring therapy appointments between the client and therapist. The frequency of these appointments is discussed and decided upon in your initial intake appointment. Scheduling of reoccurring appointments can be adjusted throughout the duration of therapy based on the individual/family needs and the progress of treatment goals/outcomes.
